Courses Available :
Junior (10 – 13 years old)
- Coding
Students are sent a Raspberry Pi (credit-card sized computer) before the course begins. Interactive classes with expert tutors will teach students how to code in Python. In Week 1, students will create an innovative app. In the second week, students will enter the AstroPi competition and create a programme for the International Space Station! Fun, engaging workshops led by expert tutors will introduce students to key scientific and engineering concepts. Students are sent a robotics kit before the programme begins. Students will complete a different project each week and will have the opportunity to build their own solar-powered robot. Explore the future of business, looking at the interaction between business and sustainable development. Students are engaged with workshops delivered by the world-famous innovative green business, The Eden Project. Led by experienced international figure Kathie Knell MBE, this course is a careers-focused online summer course for students who want to lead change in the world. Students explore leadership styles, management planning, communication, branding, organisation culture and personal growth strategies. for students interested in the medical profession. Students will be taught by Dr Jake Adams, a current doctor with experience in a mix of medical and surgical roles, General Practice and in the Emergency Department. The course will cover provide a wide-ranging introduction to medicine including anatomy, diagnosis, ethics, grey cases and will look at specific parts of the body – the heart, brain, lungs, abdomen.- 30 hours of interactive lectures, case discussions, ethics discussions plus a virtual resuscitation simulation

Studying mechanical engineering in week one and electrical engineering in week two, students will develop their understanding of areas such as mechanical drawing, structural strength, electrical structures and power circuits.
