Philosophy

Windermere School was founded in 1863 as a private, coeducational school open to students aged 2 – 18 years. The student body is made up of 75% UK students and 25% international students. The school motto is: “One conquers, who conquers oneself”. The school prepares students to meet with life’s challenges and build self-esteem as well as confidence in their knowledge. The school is also a known leader when it comes to public speaking courses and presentation skills of the students. Besides the standard classrooms, special laboratories and science rooms are set-up on campus to aid in students learning. ESL (English Second Language) classes are available to help foreign students improve their English skills.

Curriculum and Qualifications

Windermere School teaches the GCSE, IGCSE and IB. Each student would also have a personal tutor who would continuously monitor their learning progress. For students who need help with the English Language, the school also provides learning assistance.

Location

Located in the heart of the Lake District, Manchester and Liverpool Airport are only 90 minutes away from the school by train. From London, it takes about 3 hours to travel to.
