Philosophy

Moorland School is located on the edge of the historic town of Clitheroe.  The school has an outstandingly beautiful site with more than 15 acres of grounds that are utilised for many activities and provide a serene learning environment.  Moorland School is able to offer seamless education from preschoolers through to 18 years.

Curriculum and Qualifications

The Senior School covers Years 7 to 11 and follows the standards set down in the National Curriculum, with each child taking 10-12 subjects at GCSE level.

Moorland Sixth Form has a completely unique outlook on educating their students. At Moorland we will consider offering any additional specialist ‘A’ level subjects were you have shown interest. We also offer a one year ‘A’ level entry programme for those students who need to acquire a higher understanding and working knowledge of the English Language. In support of this, we employ dedicated EFL teachers to support this programme.
