Tettenhall Founded in 1863, Tettenhall College is a quintessentially British boarding school, nestled in the English village of Tettenhall, yet within proximity of Wolverhampton and the UK’s second city, Birmingham.

Tettenhall College is a ‘home from home’; boarders are welcomed into modern, newly renovated, well equipped single-sex boarding houses, each with its own dedicated House Parent who live in School. Round the clock medical and pastoral care ensures students feel happy and secure, and our in-house catering team serves a wide variety of tasty and healthy cuisines.
The seven-day boarding activity programme is busy and diverse and encourages each child’s immersion into school life, including: trips to historic towns and cities, visits to museums and theme parks and activities such as go-karting and indoor climbing.

Extracurricular activities are highly valued, supporting a well-rounded education. There are activities to suit each child; from our own indoor swimming pool to squash courts, rugby, cricket and football pitches, extensive music department, art studio and our Victorian-era performance theatre at the heart of the school site which underpins the ethos of expression and personality that the school encourages.

Tettenhall College believes that creative and expressive arts truly inform and foster learning, whilst developing key life skills such as public speaking and improvisation. There’s also a multitude of clubs to join, from orchestras, bands, and language clubs to film society, fencing, drama, and chess. Academic attainment is consistently high, with over 50% of A level students attending the country’s most sought-after British Russell Group universities, as well as those abroad.
