Rendcomb College is nestled on a 230 acre estate in The Cotswolds; a magnificent, inspirational and safe location in which to live and study. The estate enjoys an abundance of wildlife including 100 fallow deer, birds of prey, pheasants and badgers.

Students have the freedom to explore within the safety of the estate but they may also enjoy the towns of Cheltenham and Cirencester which are just 10- 15 minutes away by minibus and offer good shopping, cafés restaurants, cinemas, ten pin bowling, swimming, go-karting, museums, and sailing to name but a few things. Oxford, Bath and Bristol are all within easy reach for day trips.

Rendcomb is famous for its nurturing environment and the welcoming, supportive family ethos. Students benefit from a sense of belonging where they are happy allowing them to flourish academically. Our student numbers allow us to know students as individuals, identify their strengths and any weaker areas that may need support with.

Students meet with their Tutor every day for 20 minutes and also fall under the care of a Head of Year. These two members of staff are responsible for students’ academic progress, ensuring that they are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential, aspiring to be the very best they may be.

Education takes place beyond the classroom offering students a fantastic range of co-curricular activities so they may grow in confidence, develop their independence and leadership skills in an environment where to FAIL is seen to be the First Attempt In Learning.

Historically our students attain at an excellent standard with leavers destinations in the last two years to Oxford, Durham, Kings College London, UCL, Imperial College London, Cardiff, Bath and Exeter to name but a few.

Our international numbers are managed carefully and capped at 30% ensuring we offer a true British Boarding School experience. We do not allow any one nationality to dominate the school which ensures we have excellent integration. We currently have 17 different nationalities studying with us from all over the world.

Rendcomb values learning to teach is a privilege.  Rendcomb works with families to ensure that pupils have realistic academic ambitions, are well-prepared for public examinations and discover enthusiasms that will stay with them for life. We hope to encourage Rendcombians to think independently, to challenge and to engage.   Rendcomb intends to stretch the brightest and to provide structured support for those who need it.

Rendcomb has a strong tradition of boarding. The School is committed to remain a traditional school with a strong boarding ethos. This means that throughout each day, there are things to do and people with whom to do them. All our boys and girls, boarding and day, benefit from this culture. The academic, sport and music co-curricular activities and drama opportunities open to our students at Rendcomb are central to our idea of curriculum. Weekends for boarders are full, busy and purposeful.

Rendcomb’s day pupils are valued members of its Houses the School does not have day houses.  Day pupils are integrated members of the School’s boarding houses and this assimilation is central to the inclusive sense of community nurtured at Rendcomb.
