Recommended Starting Age
Secondary schools in the UK generally start accepting students from age 13 or Year 8 onwards.
Academic Terms
Autumn Term (Term 1): Begins in September and ends in mid-December
Spring Term (Term 2): Begins in January and ends in late March or early April
Summer Term (Term 3): Begins in April and ends in late June or early July
Half-Term Break
Each term includes a half-term break lasting about 1–2 weeks, allowing students time to rest and prepare for the next part of the term.
Exeats (Short Breaks)
Exeats are short school closures over weekends when boarding schools close and all students must leave the school. During these periods, boarding students can return home or stay with their guardians or host families.

Traditional School
