We are an academically selective, medium-sized school based on the outskirts of London in the leafy suburbs of Chigwell. Our unique location means we are a short distance from historic Epping Forest in one direction, and 25 minutes from central London by train in the other direction.

Our small, friendly international boarding houses provide a secure base for students from different countries to play a full part in an English school.

Here, we create a friendly and supportive home-from-home for 28 sixth-form international students living on campus.

The students live in three extended family-style houses (two for girls and two for boys) and in each house students of different nationalities live together with their house parents who are experienced teachers and academic staff, and their families.

We offer A levels in a range of subjects, as well as the EPQ qualification. Students enjoy a varied range of extra-curricular activities including enrichments courses, student-led clubs and societies, sports, music and much more.

In September 2023 we opened our brand new Sports and Wellness Centre, which comprises a 25m pool, a modern gym equipped with cutting-edge fitness equipment, a spacious studio for fitness classes, and a versatile sports hall for various athletic activities.

Whilst we are looking to the future, we are proud of our long history and are looking forward to celebrating our 400th anniversary in 2029.
