Philosophy

Bedford School is a school for boys aged 7 to 18 years which was founded in 1552. Bedford Boys School aims for academic excellence and good students’ test scores. The school instills the love of learning and studying in students as well as develops students to become analytical thinkers.

In addition to standard academics, Bedford School has a history of sports wins to be proud of. Bedford School is the center of many international athletes. The school has an artificial turf for playing various sports, an indoor swimming pool, tennis and squash courts. The school also has a good relationship with local sport clubs.

Curriculum and Qualifications

Bedford School offers the GCSE, A-Level and International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.

For GCSE, students study 5 subjects as follows: Mathematics, English, Science, English Literature and Foreign Languages. Students must then choose 3 additional subjects from a range of subjects offered at the school.

For A-Level, students will study four subjects in the first year and in the second year. For ID, student study just 3 subjects according to subjects offered in the curriculum. There are 3 advance subjects and 3 standard subjects offered.

Location

The school is located 75 minutes from London Stansted airport by car and 30 minutes from London Luton airport. To get to the school from London Gatwick Airport, take the Piccadilly line which connects St Pancras International station with the Heathrow Airport.
